Credit Card Comparison Coming Soon to Quotezone.co.uk

What you need to consider when reviewing all your credit card options

Usage

Consider how you will be using the credit card; will you be using it for everyday purchases, clearing credit card balances or do you only need to use it once for a big item?

Representative APR

The APR is the annual percentage rate that represents the cost of borrowing if you don’t clear your balance. If  you think this might happen, it is necessary for you to consider this when researching your credit card options.

Introductory Offers

Credit cards often attract new customers with 0% APR periods for purchases or balance transfers. These deals allow you to avoid interest charges for a set time, making them a powerful tool for saving money—as long as you avoid overspending and clear the balance before the offer expires.

Fees and Charges

Credit cards may include various fees that increase the overall cost of borrowing, such as annual fees, balance transfer fees, late payment fees, foreign transaction fees, and others. These charges can significantly add to the total cost of using a credit card.

Rewards and Perks

cashback, air miles, points, or travel benefits

Eligibility

The eligibility requirements for different lenders can vary; each lender has its own criteria, and some cards suit specific credit profiles.

How our comparison works

If you’re not sure exactly how to weigh all of these different options when reviewing credit cards, Quotezone will compare a range of cards from trusted UK providers, giving you transparent, up-to-date details on rates, features, and eligibility before you apply.

What types of credit cards can I compare?

Balance Transfer Credit Cards

Best for: Paying off existing debt at 0% interest.

These cards usually offer 0% or very low interest on debt transferred from an existing card for a set period. They are an excellent tool for consolidating your payments and saving on interest.

Purchase Credit Cards

Best for: Spreading the cost of new purchases.

Purchase cards offer 0% interest on new spending for a fixed period. This allows you to spread the cost of larger purchases without paying interest, provided you clear the balance before the offer ends.

Rewards and Cash Back Credit Cards

Best for: Everyday spending.

These cards allow you to earn something back on your daily shopping—such as groceries, fuel, and bills—in the form of cashback, points, or air miles.

Travel Credit Cards

Best for: Spending abroad.

Specifically designed for use while travelling, these cards typically feature no foreign transaction fees and offer competitive exchange rates compared to standard cards.

Credit Builder Credit Cards

Best for: Improving your credit score.

These cards are ideal for those looking to build or repair their credit history. They typically come with lower credit limits and higher APRs, but provide clear reporting to credit agencies to help boost your score over time.

Tips that can help to increase the chances of being accepted for a credit card

There are a few simple steps you can take to improve your chances of being accepted for a credit card. Making sure your credit profile is in good shape before you apply can help you avoid unnecessary rejections and apply with more confidence.

Check your credit report before applying and resolve any discrepancies.

Electoral Register

Your name must be on the electoral register at your current address.

Pay Your Bills

Always pay your bills and all other credit commitments on time.

Level of Borrowing

Keep your level of borrowing low relative to your income.

Eligibility Checking

Use eligibility checking tools to determine which cards you’re likely, without checking your score.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when your 0% deal ends?

Most promotional offers run for a fixed period, usually between 12 and 30 months. When the 0% deal ends, any remaining balance will revert to the card’s standard variable APR, so it’s important to aim to repay what you owe before then to avoid interest charges.

If you’re still carrying a balance at the end of the offer, moving it to another 0% balance transfer card could be an option,  just be sure to check any transfer fees and your likelihood of acceptance first.

Does checking my credit affect my score?

No – we use a soft search that won’t leave a mark on your credit file. Only when you apply directly with a lender is a hard search carried out.

Do all UK credit cards to compare here?

We show a wide range of UK credit cards, but not every provider. Our goal is to help you see strong, relevant options in one place.

How often are deals updated?

Our listings are refreshed daily to show the latest offers and rates.

What’s a representative APR?

It’s the rate offered to at least 51% of applicants — your actual APR may differ depending on your circumstances.

Can I have more than one credit card?

Yes, but applying for multiple cards all at once can negatively impact your score. Try to space out your applications and manage your credit responsibly.

If you’re ready to start comparing, it only takes about a minute to find options that might suit you. You can check rates, review terms, and apply when you feel comfortable.

Quotezone is a credit broker, not a lender. We won’t give you credit directly, and any credit you apply for will depend on your status and eligibility. Always make sure you can manage the repayments before you apply and be aware that a full application usually involves a hard credit check, which may affect your score.
